Malco HRP5 9-Gauge Commercial Hog Ring Pliers with Magazine, Long Handle

The Malco HRP5 commercial hog ring pliers are built for fast, repeatable tension wire ties on chain link fence. The self-feeding magazine installs 9 ga (3.8 mm) collated aluminum or steel hog rings and secures 7 ga (4.5 mm) tension wire to 9 ga (3.8 mm) chain link, designed to meet the strictest fence codes. The 25-ring strips load into the symmetrical magazine from either direction, and a plunger feed sets up each ring automatically. The clinching mechanism brings the ring forward of the nose, so there is no need to swing the magazine out of the way to reach the wire. 20″ handles give plenty of leverage and reach, and the magazine folds down for storage.

• Chain link installation: tie 7 ga tension wire to 9 ga chain link fabric on new fence lines.
• Commercial fence crews: production work on long runs where uninterrupted ring feed saves time.
• Fence repair: re-secure fabric to tension wire on existing chain link.

Using it

• Takes only HRA5/HRS5 9 ga strip rings. Malco knows of no other rings that work in the HRP5, and loose or non-collated hog rings will not feed.
• Load a 25-ring strip from either side, squeeze to clinch, release and the next ring feeds.
• Typical spacing is 12″ to 24″, most often 24″.
• The magazine adds bulk, so very tight spots can be awkward. Keep the magazine spring assembly with the tool, because it can be removed.
• Made for 7 ga wire to 9 ga chain link. The rings may not wrap well around two 6 ga panel wires.
